Amr Awadallah – Cloudera

Before co-founding Cloudera in 2008, Amr (@awadallah) was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Accel Partners. Prior to joining Accel he served as Vice President of Product Intelligence Engineering at Yahoo!, and ran one of the very first organizations to use Hadoop for data analysis and business intelligence.

John Glendenning – DataStax –

“Real-time data driven services in the Cloud”

John leads DataStax’s field operations for Europe, Middle East and Africa and has spent over 19 years within the enterprise  infrastructure software and hardware industry for companies such as Citrix, XenSource, Platform Computing and Compaq.

Steve Jenkins – MapR Technologies

“Business Opportunities for Big Data in the Enterprise”

Steve Jenkins is vice president of EMEA at MapR Technologies. Steve is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience within the industry. He has worked with a number of market breaking USA companies, including, Q1 Labs, Isilon, and F5 Networks,  where he guided the successful creation, growth and expansion of a European presence.

Peter Elleby – Greenlight

Peter is Chief Technical Officer (CTO) for Greenlight, one of the UK largest independent digital agencies, and is also responsible for the Hydra search engine marketing platform. He was previously VP of Engineering for Touch Clarity, the behavioural targeting company acquired first by Omniture, and then by Adobe. Peter was also part of the management team of the company that created the Clementine data mining platform, acquired first by SPSS, and then by IBM. Apart from his interest in Artificial intelligence and Big Data, Peter is an expert on Industrial Automation and Robotics from his time as Chief Technologist at Brooks Automation. Peter is a graduate of the Technical University of Denmark, and was a research fellow at the University of Reading.


Ben Marden – HortonWorks 

“Making sense of Big Data”

Benedict Marden is a software executive with over 15 years of sales experience working and building data management solutions with some of the largest Financial Market, Telecommunications and retail organisations in the world. Benedicts last twelve years have been predominately spent advising enterprises on the appropriate software to solve specific business requirements. He previously worked for IBM, EMC & Quest Software before joining Hortonworks as the Enterprise Sales Manager based in the UK.
